Dear readers,
Since I recently sent out the original
report of the crusade in South America it has been gnawing at me that I
left out part of the heart of the message. Grace and I have ministered in
quite a few places and the anointing, although very strong, isn't always
received the same in all of them. We have come to realize that usually
the difference is not the anointing, nor is the difference that God is a
respecter of people or places. We know by the Gospels that Jesus,
Himself, could "heal them all" in certain places and "could do no mighty
works" when He returned to Nazareth. Grace & I feel that the principle
discussed below is a message to us personally and we humbly receive it.
Perhaps it is a wake-up call to all of us? Like many missions do, this
mission worked in two directions at the same time.
Be blessed,
Henry Falany
THE GLORY FALLS IN THE JUNGLE OF
COLOMBIA ~ REPORT #2
"THEY CAME AS LITTLE
CHILDREN"
"Verily I
say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye
shall not enter into the kingdom heaven." Jesus,
Matt. 18:3
On January the 27th when Grace and I and our
team members, Bernadette Dixon and Annie Countz, stepped off of that
turbo-prop commuter plane in the Jungle town of Mitu, Colombia we were not
prepared for what was about to happen next. There behind the chain link
fence was a small crowd of native Colombian and Indian people. We thought
they were all there to meet others on the plane and didn't think much of
it as we walked across the tarmac to the little terminal building to go
through customs. In the terminal we were graciously met by our host
Pastor, George Hurd. After we were excused by customs we walked out to
the vehicle that George had arranged to take us into town. As we were
getting into the vehicle George informed us that all those people were
there to see us arrive in Mitu. They had come by foot to greet us. I was
almost shocked and so was Grace. I said, my, my, my, we must love on
those people, and immediately got out of the vehicle and we all went in
amongst them.
Folks, they literally embraced us. Several of
them squeezed my cheeks and held my face. Old men held me and wept.
Young mamas would touch us then take our hands and put them on their
baby. They, every one of them, made sure they came to each of us and
hugged us and held us. This was a very emotional time for all of us.
These people were expecting a move of God! I turned to Grace and said
"honey, we are going to have revival."
More than two hundred healings happened during
that four day crusade. I am sure of this because I personally witnessed
over a hundred manifestations of healing and deliverance with the people I
ministered to. Many of them were healed of several things at the same
time. However, Grace, Bernadette and Annie were witnessing as
many healings as I was. So, two hundred is probably a very conservative
estimate. And even more exciting than the healings was the fact that the
altars were filled each service with those receiving the gift of life of
Jesus Christ as savior.
Acts 8:5-13 In action ~ "Hearing
and seeing the miracles," the bewitched renounced the witch doctors!
Although in Samaria the whole
city believed when Phillip preached Christ and demonstrated the power of
God, and in Mitu it was not the whole city, there was, never the less, a
great parallel. Many of the Indians being ministered to had been
frequenting the witch doctors for their maladies. They have been doing
this for centuries because it is their culture. But when they saw a
greater power, and when we ministered the 1st. Commandment (Exodus 20:3)
to them, they openly and quickly renounced the witch doctors and embraced
Jesus Christ. That's why Paul could speak of "making the gentiles
obedient by word & deed, Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of
God." Rom. 15:18 & 19 ~ He also said "And my speech and my
preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand
in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." I Cor. 2:4 & 5
A REFLECTION OF THE PASTORS HEARTS
These precious people were hungry and
expectant partly because of the hearts of Pastor George and his wife
Norma. They have literally poured themselves into their work in Mitu.
They themselves are hungry for an uncommon move of the Holy Spirit among
the hurting and the lost, and their hearts are manifesting in the
local community and the surrounding tribes. It was a blessing to us that
they prepared the way for the awesome move of God that took place.
REVIVAL DOESN'T JUST HAPPEN
God is looking for hearts that are broken and
desperate for Him. "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall
search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you saith the
Lord. And I will turn away your captivity" ... Jer. 29:13 & 14
AMEN!
