The Prophetic Symbolism of …

"Yosemite's Famous Fire Falls"

Daniel 7:7-10 ..”I saw in the night visions .. the Ancient of Days 

fire. A stream of fire came forth from before Him; a thousand

thousands ministered to Him, and ten thousand times ten

thousand rose up and stood before Him” ~   The Amplified Bible

Many remember the famous Fire Falls in Yosemite National Park.

This, we feel, has strong prophetic significance. Yosemite Valley, and all

of its wonders, is in the mother lode gold country county of Mariposa, Ca.  

(only a few miles from Mariposa Revival Center)  With the advent of

The Azusa Street Revival in Los Angeles in 1906, and with the

subsequent prophetic words over “The Golden State” in recent years

that California will be a significant factor in the coming move of God,

many believe that the Yosemite Fire Falls could have been more

 than just a major international tourist attraction.  Additionally, in 1997

there was a regional revival (5 counties) which began in Mariposa

called “Feast of Fire.”

THE FIRE FALLS                                                                                                                                                                       Thousands of people from around the globe would line the meadows and

roads every evening to watch the spectacular event of fire falling more than

3,000 feet from Glacier Point to the valley floor. In fact, many came to

Yosemite just to experience the "Fire Falls." From 1872 to 1969, for almost

one hundred years, every summer, at exactly 9 p.m. a man would stand at

Camp Curry below and shout to the man at Glacier Point above "Let The

Fire Fall." At that instant, the man tending the Fire at Glacier Point would

shout his answer down, "The Fire Is Falling," and they would

immediately begin pushing the burning coals and fire over the cliff. It was a

spectacular display of falling, descending fire! Over 3,000 feet of brilliant,

flowing, glowing fire cascading down the sheer wall of Glacier Point.

 

THE FIRE FALLS ~ A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE                                     In a recent TV documentary interview one of the 'old timers,' that called the fire down, emotionally said, "we always thought it was like a spiritual thing, like a church experience." With his voice breaking, he said “people were deeply touched. Each night when the event ended there would be deep silence, or almost reverence.” He said “people would be weeping everywhere. Then, after a minute or so, hesitantly, someone would break the silence with a weak applause. The applause would then escalate into a roar.” It was an awesome event, a momentous occasion. Everyone was blessed, the rich and famous as well as the more common folks. All races and colors of people from all over the world were somehow deeply touched by the Fire Falls. The old timer said “it riveted the people together.” Doesn't that have a prophetic ring to it? Maybe it is more prophetic than even the participants could have believed. Maybe it is no coincidence that man has been calling "Let The Fire Fall," and hearing from above, "The Fire Is Falling," for almost a hundred years right here in the mother lode gold country which is the heart of the Golden State.

FIRE ON AZUSA STREET                                                                                                                                                           It is even more interesting that this prophetic act took place for 35 years in California before the Azusa Street Revival hit in L.A  in 1906.  That revival became known as “Fire on Azusa Street”.. the modern day Pentecost to the world.

It appears the old timer was right. It is a strong prophetic picture of the cry of the heart of the church right now... "Lord, Let The Fire Fall!”.. and HIS answer, coming from HIS heart of compassion, is ... "The Fire Is Falling!"  It is the encouragement of this writer that the fire is here already yet it is still coming in a much stronger out-pouring once more to California and Mariposa County as well as the nations … but this time, it is the fire of healing and revival!

Let’s all join in agreement, and let our hearts cry aloud for a visitation that becomes a habitation …

… Lord, let the Fire Fall!!!

*Horse Tail Falls …  is God’s Fire Falls.  It is not man made.  Yearly in February and early March the sun hits Horsetail Water Falls at a particular angle at the end of the day in which it looks like liquid fire falling.  It is spectacular!  Photographers and tourists come from far and wide to capture and experience it’s awesome display.  Thus, God reserved this symbol for the ages.  Man can not discontinue this one!
